A large number of talented professionals consider themselves part of Clarke Construction Group. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential for all candidates.

We operate across the North Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, and Gloucestershire - generally within a 20-mile radius of Moreton-in-Marsh and often in areas with limited public transportation - therefore, a full driving licence is mandatory for all positions.

All roles are full-time with immediate starts unless otherwise stated. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with optional weekend work. Salaries are dependent on experience and paid weekly.

Carpenter

Job Description

We seek an experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team, working on diverse and prestigious properties throughout the Cotswolds.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Perform first and second fix carpentry
  • External cladding installation
  • Fit external and internal doors/windows
  • Optional experience in cut roofs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong teamwork abilities

General Builder

The General Builder is vital in delivering high-quality construction and renovation projects within a 20-mile radius of Moreton-in-Marsh.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Execute projects according to architectural plans
  • Collaborate with various trades and subcontractors
  • Identify and resolve on-site challenges efficiently
  • Maintain a safe, organized worksite
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely

Requirements

  • Solid construction knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

General Labourer

We require a skilled Labourer for diverse projects within 20 miles of Moreton-in-Marsh.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Site preparation and maintenance
  • Assisting tradespeople with various tasks
  • Handling building materials and equipment safely

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' construction industry experience

Roofer

Job Description

Work on a range of custom builds, heritage restorations, and premium residential properties. Self-employed or employed options available. Vehicle available if part of negotiations.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Installation and repair of various roof types on bespoke, listed, and high-end residential buildings
  • Working safely and efficiently across pitched and flat roofing systems
  • Carrying out inspections, measurements, and material planning
  • Collaborating with site teams to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and site cleanliness

Requirements

  • Proven experience in roofing with a strong portfolio of bespoke or heritage projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Comfortable working at height and outdoors in various conditions
  • Self-motivated, punctual, and professional
  • Own transport and tools preferred (unless negotiated as part of the role)

Roofer's Mate

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Roofer’s Mate to support our experienced roofing team on projects across the Cotswolds. This is a great opportunity to build skills and progress within the trade while working on a variety of bespoke and heritage properties.

Main Activities and Duties

  • Assist roofers with day-to-day tasks on site
  • Carry and prepare materials, tools, and equipment
  • Follow safe working practices and site safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area
  • Support installations, repairs, and maintenance of pitched and flat roofs
  • Learn and develop skills with opportunities to progress in the trade

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of general roofing or construction experience
  • Basic knowledge of roofing practices and materials
  • Physically fit and confident working at heights
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
