From Green Field to Flagship Store

Set within rolling Warwickshire countryside near Stratford‑upon‑Avon, Jobes Barn began as little more than an empty plot at an established equestrian centre. Clarke Construction Group took the project from first excavation to fully finished destination store, delivering a striking two‑storey building for Classic Dressage.

A steel frame anchors the structure, wrapped in blockwork and warm cedar cladding. Vast glazed gables, skylights, and full‑height windows flood the retail floor with natural light, creating an inviting showcase for saddlery, apparel, and tack.

Built for premium equestrian retail — where craftsmanship, efficiency, and architectural flair ride side by side.

Designed for Function and Flow

Inside, polished concrete floors support heavy stock loads while delivering a modern aesthetic. Stud‑framed walls define showrooms, fitting areas, and office space; mezzanine storage maximises vertical height. High‑performance insulation, under‑roof skylights, and LED lighting ensure year‑round comfort and energy efficiency.

The build integrates new electrics, plumbing, and climate control, alongside a regulation sewage treatment plant and oil‑storage facility. An onsite EV charger underscores the client’s commitment to sustainable convenience for staff and visiting riders alike.

Clarke Construction delivered exactly what we envisioned - a bright, welcoming store that reflects the quality of our brand. The team handled every detail with professionalism and care. The result is a barn we’re proud to call the home of Classic Dressage.

Landscape & Approach

External works elevate the experience from the very first impression. Our groundworks team set granite‑edged paving, gravel paths, and formed gentle ramped access to all public doors. Bespoke Cotswold‑stone pillar gates guard the private drive, fitted with discreet electric operators for effortless entry. Thoughtful planting softens the cedar façade while allowing uninterrupted views through the glazed frontage - connecting the store interior with its rural surroundings.

What was once bare ground is now a cedar‑clad, glass‑fronted destination that blends seamlessly into the landscape while offering Classic Dressage a flexible, future‑ready space to grow.
